  • 73% of UK defined benefit (DB) pension schemes are cashflow negative, up from 66% in 2018
  • More than 1 in 4 UK DB schemes now have buyout as long term target
  • Investors continue to search for diversification, with average equity allocations again reducing year on year, and a corresponding increase in holdings of alternative investments
