How are organisations preparing for change during this uncertain time?
"Brexit" – or the UK’s vote to exit the European Union – has been a major concern for the business community since the result was announced on 24th June.
In August, we conducted a survey to help understand how businesses are beginning to tackle talent implications associated with Brexit.
We received responses from senior HR, Talent and Reward directors in over 180 organisations to questions covering the spectrum of issues likely to be affected by the referendum vote.
The overall findings suggest that, in the short term, the focus for businesses is on opening channels of communication with employees and actively managing international assignments in response to currency fluctuation. The longer term perspective is aligned to revision of workforce structures and planning, alongside new talent attraction and retention propositions once the political position becomes clearer and business and people strategies evolve in response.
