Mercer’s Global Head of Investment Research, Deb Clarke has once again been named in the 2019 FN100 Most Influential Women in European Finance list, compiled by Financial News. This is her sixth time being named to the FN100 list, having previously received the honour in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2018.

Ms Clarke was recognised as an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, currently leading more than 125 specialists across diversifying alternatives, fixed income and equities. She also oversees Mercer’s strategic research and responsible investment teams, is the Chair of the Global Strategic Research committee and the Executive Sponsor for Mercer’s Global Investment Forums. Since joining Mercer in 2005, Ms Clarke has played a vital role helping clients navigate market challenges and is now regarded as one of the most influential women in asset management.

On being named in the FN100 list, Ms Clarke said: “It is an honour to be named yet again as one of the FN100 for 2019. This list highlights the excellent achievements of women working within finance, and I am proud to share this milestone with so many impressive women who are shaping our industry in Europe and beyond. I am particularly grateful to my colleagues at Mercer who are leading the way in enabling women to succeed in finance and look forward to reaching new heights together.”

The unranked list is derived from a longlist of almost 500 eligible European candidates who are assessed on their leadership within their organisation, influence within their sector or industry, successes over the past year and their capacity to shape their business or industry in the year ahead.
