Mercer is pleased to announce that Alan Whitmore, London Wealth Leader, has been listed as an Asset Management “Rising Star” by Financial News. The Financial News “Rising Star” list highlights some of the brightest developing talent, drawn from asset management, pension funds, consultant submissions as well as Financial News’ own research.
In his role as London Wealth Leader, Alan is responsible for c.300 professionals in the Wealth department of Mercer’s London office and recently spearheaded the integration of over 70 new colleagues following the acquisition of JLT Group. An investment consultant, during his time at Mercer Alan has had significant involvement in the development of Mercer’s advisory capabilities in Liability Driven Investment (LDI) and has provided clients with advice on the full range of risk management techniques. Alan has worked with some of most sophisticated defined benefit (DB) pension schemes in the UK and was recently involved with the investment aspects of a record-breaking DB pension scheme buyout transaction.
